This season things changed a bit for the girls, since Rory is now living in college. It’s actually not that big of a difference, since she doesn’t live too far from Lorelai, but it did present different situations.I particularly liked the episode where they kept missing each other and left each other voice messages.
At first I didn’t see Jason and Lorelai working out as a couple, but once they started dating each other it felt more natural. I really liked the dilemma that presented between them and her parents, I didn’t see anyone at fault, even though the end result was unhappiness for everybody.
I keep feeling particularly attached to Lane’s storyline, maybe because she’s Asian, but I just find it very endearing. Too bad that Adam Brody was busy with The O.C., he couldn’t even make a quick cameo here, even though he’s mentioned every once in a while. I was glad that Lane is finally starting to live her own life, but I don’t dislike her mother at all, on the contrary I feel for her. Plus she’s still so funny every time she appears.
Instead I started to dislike Rory and her story line. She seems to be making bad decisions and becoming worst every time. I also started to dislike Paris. I really don’t like where they are taking her character. At least I saw very little of Jesse this season, although towards the end I almost started to understand him, and then he goes and tells Rory to elope with him. AAARRRRGGGHHH!!!
The finale was certainly interesting: a “finally!!”, a “how could you do that!?!?”, and a “what’s going to happen to them?!”. And finally they managed to open their new inn, it took a very long time!!
Another good season, with good promises for the next one. The quality hasn’t changed much, I still like this series just as much, not more not less.
