Arrested Development: Season 3

It had been some time since I last watched AD S2, I almost forgot how funny it was. This last season was even funnier to me.

I loved the storyline with Charlize Theron, it was not only funny and quirky (that quirkiness is very well explained at the end), but it was actually intriguing. I actually wanted to know who she really was.

The ongoing storyline between the two cousins was also entertaining, and at the same time sweet. One other reason I liked this season is that for the first time George Sr. is out of prison, and is actually interacting with the rest of his family more often.

I was a little bit sad to see Henry Wrinkler leave, I really liked him. At least I got a huge laugh when his successor showed up, not just the casting (Scott Baio!!) but his name as well: Bob Loblaw….

Gob was his usual irritating stupid brother, always putting Michael in difficult situations. Tobias is just dumb, but at least he only harms himself. Buster had the best lines, I still laugh at those. Michael is just always trying to solve his families problems, and I always felt bad for him.

The last episode was the writers having crazy fun with the characters, revealing Lindsay’s identity, and also finishing the same way this all started. A nice but sad ending, since there won’t be anymore episodes of this great series.

I think this might be my favorite comedy of all time. I certainly laughed a lot, and think that the plot are not just funny but very clever.
