After the split between Mark and Fran, this season saw them apart dealing with their single lives. Which is weird, since Mark and Fran are only supporting characters.
As for Jamie and Paul, not much has happened apart from Jamie change of career. I like the difference between Paul’s passion for his job and Jamie’s lack of passion for anything. I can relate to that.
This season we also got to know Jamie and Paul’s respective families, and how they drive each other crazy. This is definitely another important part of a married couple’s life, which brings to both funny and annoying scenes.
I really like some of the opening scenes before the titles, in just a short scene they can summarize what it is like to live a married life, and it’s often very poignant.
Another recurring character that is absolutely hilarious is Ursula the waitress. Her lines are always so funny my wife and I just laugh every time she’s on screen. It’s also fun for a continuity nut like me that she’s Phoebe’s twin from Friends.
Another enjoyable season that ended with the classic issue about babies. I’m looking forward to see that issue explored in the next season.
