Trinity 11
By John • Aug 14th, 2008 • Category: TrinityThis is the start of the CSA story line, and I am excited. We learn more about what happened to their universe and why they’re stealing people from many dimensions. This gives them a clear purpose that’s almost understandable, wanting to re-build their universe, as opposed to “ruling the world”.
We finally learn what is happening to the trinity, even though the clues so far weren’t that clear about it. We just saw them acting our of character, not necessarily in each other’s characters. But at least that’s a small mystery revealed.
One mystery that’s not clear to me is Green Lantern. What is happening to John Stewart? Was is his fight with Konvikt? We also see the Dreambound stealing the mystic clay from which Wonder Woman was created, which I predicted last issue.
The other artifact that gets stolen in the back up story is the Space Plane, from Superman’s first appearance. Hawkman and Gangbuster fight them without success, but they can now trace the Dreambound’s position.
We’re now far enough into the series that some of the mysteries are slowly revealed, and what’s been planted in the first few issues is finally coming to fruition. This is actually still really early on in the series, but Kurt Busiek is already giving us something to enjoy. The CSA story line is not just a series of action scenes like with Konvikt, there is plenty of interesting story and dialog going on.
