So the place where the trinity went is the universe that Kronas created. Here we get the history of this universe from conception to the time Kronas left and the natives realized the truth and totally lost purpose.
That’s when the trinity appeared. It was a treat seeing them again for more than just a wordless panel, even though there’s only one line spoken by Wonder Woman here. Still, those two pages really wet my appetite for more trinity.
The backup story sees Morgaine and Enigma forming their army after their recruitment, with the appearance of many villains of the DC universe. Luckily for the JSI Atom is witnessing all this, so Carter is ready to create his own army.
I like that when Morgaine talks about altering the universe’s nature, everyone sees it as a different aspect (electromagnetic fields, biomorphic field, magic etc…), but in the end they’re all the same. This way Busiek includes every corner/character of the DC universe.
