The Trinity finally confronts their loved ones, but it’s not pretty. It was hard to understand this at first, but they are both the same and different. They remember their past, they recognize their loved ones, but they are Gods now, and have a different mentality. It’s an interesting concept, more interesting than the Trinity simply coming back as they were before. That wouldn’t last for 17 issues.
In the backup, the JSI is still fighting the dark arcana. I must admit, at this point I really don’t care much about this thread. Not only I am focused on the Trinity’s return, but I’ve been reading about this fight for too many issues, and at this point there’s nothing new about it. At least they’re gearing up to the big final battle, so soon this will be over. The only interesting point of this story is the reveal about Martian Manhunter. I guess it was hinted at before, but I had no idea. Still, it doesn’t really rock my world.
