Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder

This story starts on Mars, where the Wong’s are building a new Mars Vegas. It quickly transforms into a fight to save the environment, against the “evil” greedy Wongs. Leela is part of the eco-feminists, which makes sense for her.

Fry on the other hand becomes a telepath and is involved in a big conspiracy involving the Dark Ones. We don’t really know what’s going on until the end, but I was curious. Especially about the idenity of the Dark One, although I should have guessed it.

The end ceremony is where everything is revealed, and I thought it worked. But I was curiously untouched by the supposedly final fate of the main relationships. Amy and Kif, but more importantly Fry and Leela. I just didn’t feel emotional about them finally being together at all. I thought the last episode of Season 4 was more emotional than this.

I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t enjoyed the last two movie as much, so my interest in this movie went down. I’ll have to re-watch it some time. This was not as bad as the second movie, but I just felt uninterested in general.
