Brian Wood manages to punch you in the gut with single 20 pages stories, which is something I don’t remember experiencing. In just 20 pages he conveys real emotions that we all are familiar with, because we’ve all been through some (if not all) of those scenes.

Becky Cloonan manages to surprise every single issue. She tries to experiment with her style in each issue, using a technique that she feels is more suited for the story at hand. And the end result is fantastic art, perfect for each single story.

This collection is a fast read, but I suggest you to put the book down after you finish each story, and think about what you just read. Give each story time to wander in your mind and maybe find lost memories from your own past. This book is magic.
